What does PIR stand for?

0 minutes, 24 seconds Read

PIR stands for Passive Infrared. PIR human body sensing is a technology that uses a passive infrared sensor to detect the presence of human body heat. In the context of a hidden spy camera, a PIR sensor is used to trigger the camera to start recording or send an alert when it detects movement in the area being monitored. This helps to conserve battery life and minimize false alarms by only recording when there is actual movement in the field of view.
